Investigation records
當織品送抵文化資產保存研究中心的「修復研究室」後，即展開第二階段檢視與分析工作，包含工藝紀錄調查、檢視紀錄與科學分析。
When the fabrics arrive at the “Restoration Laboratory” of the Cultural Assets Preservation Research Center, the second stage of inspection and analysis will begin, including process record investigation, inspection records and scientific analysis.

工藝調查包含織品的時代背景、風格意涵與技法分析。織品修護團隊秉持國際修復「真實性」原則，以不做任何臆測性修護為前提，經歷搜證、模擬、比對、試繡、反覆修正，調查出精確的製作方法及順序。
The survey of craftsmanship includes the analysis of the era background, style meaning and technique of the fabric. The fabric repair team adheres to the principle of “authenticity” in international repairs, and on the premise of not doing any speculative repairs, goes through evidence, simulation, comparison, trial embroidery, and repeated corrections to investigate the precise production method and sequence.
b.檢視紀錄

檢視紀錄以目視及科學儀器輔助，將檢測結果提供修復方案之擬定，可分爲文物拆解、檢視紀錄與影像紀錄，進一步製作破損圖。影像紀錄是指利用作品對光線的反射、穿透和吸收的程度，以影像方式紀錄當時的現狀與劣化狀態，爲目前國內在進行文物檢視時，廣泛所使用的方法之一，例如使用可見光及特殊光源(紅外線、紫外線、螢光等)進行影像紀錄。

隨著科技不斷的日新月益，依科學儀器設備及操作方式所取得的數據或圖譜資料可進行分析，可得到客觀且正確性高的判斷，有助於後續修復方式的擬定及評估。織品科學分析項目包含化學結構分析、掃描式電子顯微鏡及元素分析、分光光度計之物理性分析、微生物檢測等。
